I’ve always had a problem with tension, for apparently no reason. Now that I work long days, by the time I get home it feels like everything shoulder up is just tight, especially my throat and forehead. An advil would do the trick but I don’t want to rely on that. Can anyone recommend some type of yoga, breathing technique, meditation, anything specific? Thanks.

I have been practicing Dahn Korean Yoga for a while (well 3 months last year, and then returned after a break, and now for 2 months) i feel a strong connection with the meditation and movement. I felt that the time i was away i was constantly being called back to it.
What do u think about Yoga? what have your experiences been?
What types have you tried?

I want to start a yoga routine everyday. Do you have any tips or advice for a beginner – an overweight, asthmatic, and not very flexible beginner?
And please do not advertise weight loss miracles. Weight loss includes diet and exercise to stay healthy…period. That is why I want to start yoga. That combined with meditation and healthy food are the best ways to get and stay healthy.

I’ve been so stressed lately and I have no clue what to do. I can’t stand candles (the smell of the smoke makes me hack up like a cat choking on their own hairball, which is anything but relaxing), I’ve tried self facial massages, I’ve tried meditation and yoga, but nothing. Any tips?

I am recovering from a car accident I was in 3 months ago and I have been seeing a chiropractor and a personal trainer. However, I would like to augment my recovery regime with some yoga classes. However, I am I Christian and I would like to find a type of yoga that does not involve the eastern mysticism and meditation while still getting the physical benefits of the exercise.
Thanks,
Rae

the defined of stress – During some stressful times, we get wound up so tight that no amount of rest can release the tension in our muscles. We simply need to move. But we often feel too exhausted for intense, heart-pumping physical exertion. Fortunately, yoga can rescue us! And we can often feel the effects immediately. As we focus on movement and the breath, yoga stills our ceaseless thinking, worrying, and projecting into the future. Seated Meditation: Sit for five to 10 minutes. But before you begin your meditation, create the most comfortable seat possible. If the idea of sitting down makes you wince, you probably won’t look forward to meditating! So mindfully prepare your seat as if it were your throne.than closed your eyes and think you are in a throne and relax yourself and your mind.
