Hatha yoga is one of the better types of yoga for the "everyday" person. It combines controlled breath, movement, and stretching. The stretches and movements are accommodating to any experience and fitness level. I’m 8 months pregnant and can still use the motions. A common reason for people feeling tired is not lack of sleep, but lack of oxygen. Our blood needs oxygen to flow properly. A lot of of things affect our breath, stress, temperature, sleep, and how fit we are. Focusing on the breath helps bring more oxygen to our cells and coordinating breathing and stretching further helps our blood flow smoothly and functionally. I believe that any type of excercise, including Yoga, will help you improve your energy. I was doing Vinyassa yoga until recently, and only quit because my work schedule kept changing. I’m looking for a new studio right now. Good luck, and Namaste

I would do pilates, because its great cardiovascular workouts which give you more energy…plus its fun!
